Screen Media Expo Europe 2009
Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief
We noticed an ever so slight change of name for Screen Expo – it has now become Screen Media Expo Europe for 2009.
We spoke to Mark Pigou, show organiser and he told us “We want the show name to fully reflect not just the diverse digital signage and interactive technology on show at Europe’s biggest event but also the continuing goal of engaging with the media and advertising communities who will ultimately drive the industry forward”
Event dates stay the same (they are in our Event Calendar) 7th and 8th April 2009, National Hall, Olympia, London.
Broadsign are again main sponsors (it’s great that Broadsign step up to the plate and sponsor an event as high profile as this – Enqii, Cisco et al you should be ashamed of yourselves) and looks like Remote Media were first out the gate to get a key stand right in front of the entrance.
Jason Cremins, CEO Remote Media told us that they have 36 square metres on stand D01 (at the main entrance) and are building a new stand totally dedicated to signagelive (dropping the Remote Media branding completely).
The signagelive stand will have a central cylinder tower with a demo area connected up to remote towers on the outside of the stand that will have several live signagelive networks in operation covering various applications and solutions.
It also looks like Samsung will be on the signagelive stand as well as signagelive being on the (big) Samsung stand.

The organisers also told us that 2009 bookings already exceed the size of the 2008 show, Samsung have joined the roster of major sponsors and LGE have booked a major stand space as well!
