Ecast Taps Online Guy For VP Biz Dev
Ecast this week announced the hire of Michael Miner as the company’s vice president of business development. Prior to joining Ecast, Miner served as director of business development and client services for the A9 business unit of Amazon where he was charged with building and managing a sponsored link advertising business on Amazon.com and third party publisher sites.
John Taylor, CEO of Ecast told us “We’re delighted that Michael has joined Ecast in this important position, especially as we build out our media solutions business with a focus in many of the same verticals where Michael has deep knowledge and experience. His keen understanding of the role that strategic partnerships play for an emerging media company will ensure that we are forging the right relationships that will facilitate our ability to help major brands optimize place-based media in their marketing mix.”
Prior to Amazon, Miner was senior manager of sales and business development at EBay where he negotiated strategic partnerships with top online retailers to integrate PayPal into their commerce engines.
Prior to EBay, Miner was senior business development and marketing manager for Yahoo! Travel, spearheading and negotiating over fifty-five online and offline partnerships with media giants Showtime, Sony Pictures and A&E as well as major brands British Airways and Budget Car Rental.
