Immedia Broadcasting’s Big New Customer
Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief
We pride ourselves on knowing these sorts of things but this time have to admit that we have no clue at all as to whom Immedia Broadcasting are referring to in this announcement they made back on 15th July 2008…
IMMEDIA SIGNS SIGNIFICANT MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH NEW CUSTOMER
Immedia Broadcasting is delighted to announce today that it has signed a memorandum of understanding for the provision of significant services to a leading retail brand.
Immedia Broadcasting, the UK’s leading provider of live, tailored radio and video for retail, is delighted to announce today that it has signed a memorandum of understanding for the provision of significant services to a leading retail brand. The signing of the memorandum follows on from a previous trial with this new customer.
Further information will be disclosed in due course following the expected signing of the contract later this summer.
Imagesound continue to lose customers to other canned music providers such as Mood Media – we were the first (and in fact only ones) to report a few weeks ago “Imagesound Gets The Boot From Footlocker” – but it’s unlikely in this instance that someone using cheap canned music will switch to Immedia’s live radio offering.
If only Immedia would pull their finger out when it came to PR, Marketing and talking to the City and investors (and doing a slightly better job with the video side of their business) they could do even better than they are at present (especially with their stock price which has been stuck in the doldrums for years now).
They have a pretty unique offering and we feel could do so much more – especially outside the UK by branching out into continental Europe.
We rated Immedia Broadcasting number 2 in “Our Top 10 Music Providers” post earlier this year…
The first real in-store radio suppliers that have had any success. Many companies have tried to do live radio since Hampson launched Asda FM in the 1990s but nobody has penetrated the market place like Immedia with rollouts that include Lloyds Pharmacy, HSBC, Spar and IKEA with some unique programmes created by their expert team of DJs.
Since then they have added Roadchef, the UK motorway service station provider to their impressive rosta of customers and of course also have a big network with the UK retailer Game.
