The UK’s AV Magazine not only announced its AV Awards 2010 list of finalists it also announced, in a change from last year, the categories in which finalists have been announced if that makes sense.
This is always a really, really good Black Tie evening (in 2008 we were guests of signagelive and in 2009 guests of both ONELAN and Mike Blackman).
Our new friends Amscreen (and we have a grudging respect and admiration for them these days) have been nominated in two categories; Digital Signage Manufacturer (along with AMX and ONELAN) and Digital Signage Product (along with Christie and Spinetix) and have even invited us to join them at their table.
We get the nominations for Christie Digital and ONELAN but don’t quite get this love-in for SpinetiX who are a finalist, one would guess, for the same old product they role out every year at every trade show (luckily we will NOT be sitting at the table with the man who ate all the pies).
The Digital Signage Project category sees BrightSign, dZine, Scala, Signature Digital Menus (probably also a Scala install) and Symon Dacon nominated.
Mood Media, ProAV and Streaming Tan are nominated in the Digital Media Project of the Year category.
The event takes place on Friday 8 October at London’s Radisson Blu Portman Hotel. Details on how to obtain tickets are at www.avawards.com
