Layar, probably the world’s largest platform in mobile augmented reality, has secured EUR €10 M in growth capital. The round sees Intel Capital enter as a shareholder whilst Prime Ventures expands its share.

By investing in Layar, Intel Capital joins Prime Ventures and Sunstone Capital, who have already funded the Amsterdam based firm in its first financing rounds.

The new funds will speed up the development op Layar’s app, software and platform and finance its continued geographical expansion.
