Reed Expositions France has just launched The International POPAI Awards Paris Competition, which will take place at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Park on March 22nd 2011. The event, which has been running for over 20 years, rewards the best creations of the year for POP advertising, Digital Media, Commercial Architecture and Shop Fitting.

More than 300 projects will be exhibited at the one-day event and judged by a jury of 120 to 150 advertisers, decision makers and buyers from marketing, communication, merchandising of all sectors.In 2010, there were 300 entries from 99 companies from 12 countries.

There are three competition sectors: POP Advertising, Digital Signage, Shop Fitting.

And four categories in the Digital Media section:

  • Retail Achievements
  • Innovative material
  • Content creation
  • Interactive material

 The competition is open to all: producers, publishers or designers of traditional or dynamic POP materials, design and commercial architecture agencies, whether they be a member or not of POPAI, and entries are welcomed from France or abroad.

The jury will mark each creation using the following criteria:

  • General impact and effectiveness (double coefficient)
  • Suitability for the product
  • Technical conception
  • Quality of manufacturing
  • Adaptation to the sales circuit
  • Design and aesthetic quality
  • Originality and innovation

And to close the competition, a Gala Evening will be organised on June 23rd 2011 in Paris at which the winners, accompanied by their customers, will receive their award.
