Amscreen has just announced that it has sold the Machine-to-Machine (M2M) side of its business to the Brulines Group. Brulines is one of, if not the leading provider of real time monitoring systems and data management services for the leisure and forecourt services sectors.
Simon Sugar told us first thing this morning that “The deal will allow Amscreen to focus efforts wholly on the development of its media business”
Amscreen M2M was always an operating division within Amscreen, delivering data collection and monitoring solutions that utilise the mobile networks and the internet, and has been supplying solutions to Brulines for a number of years so this deal makes a lot of sense to both parties.
The agreement will see the intellectual property of the M2M division and certain staff transfer to Brulines and the business will continue to operate from the current offices in Bolton.
Simon Sugar, CEO of Amscreen added “We are delighted to announce this deal, which enables us to streamline our operations and fully focus on being purely a media business which was always our long-term objective when we started the company”.
He continued “In only two years we have become the UK’s largest digital media network owner, giving advertisers the only opportunity for their campaigns to a achieve a true nationwide-spread. I would like to thank those colleagues that are transferring and I am sure that their skills and experience will serve them well. We wish them and Brulines every success as they seek to take advantage of the opportunities ahead.”
