Drew Topel Leaves CoolSign
Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief
News reached us Wednesday that the immensely talented Drew Topel, formerly VP of Technology at CS Holdings (CoolSign) had left the company.
Drew reached out to us later that same day and told us exclusively “If you hear of any contracting type work in the DOOH area, I’m looking. Consulting, sales engineer, troubleshooting, technical specification, coding special projects, documentation or other.”
Like with the recent people changes at Magenta Research (Montreal specifically) and CAN Media in the UK (highly qualified Scala engineering folks) there are now dozens of extremely good technical people on the market – all waiting for entrepreneurial companies to go sweep ’em up!

Adrian,
I’d like to take a moment to echo your comments about my friend and colleague. Over the past 18 months that I’ve had the pleasure to work with Drew, he’s taught me a tremendous amount not only about digital signage, but about how to be a professional in this crazy business.
Whatever nice things you can say about Drew’s abilities, (and they are numerous – he’s one of the few people around with deep technical knowledge, excellent customer skills and superb problem solving skills) he is far superior person.
While I wish him the best in his endeavors, I am sad to see him go.
Best,
Raffi

Drew is definitely super smart, talented and professional…but immensely talented?? I’m not so sure of that.
