iBAHN and Symon Sign Global Agreement

Salt Lake City, Utah-based iBAHN, a global leader in IP-based and digital technology solutions for the hospitality and meeting industries has signed the first global ‘Gold Level’ reseller agreement in the hospitality marketplace with Plano, Texas-based Symon Communications, a leading industry provider of visual communications and digital signage solutions.

Symon visual communications solutions consist of digital signage, door displays, wayfinding, 3D, information kiosks and mobile.

This new global agreement builds upon an already successful partner relationship in Europe. iBahn has already sold Symon’s solutions into several hotels in Europe and the Middle East, such as Hilton Jumeirah Beach Resort in Dubai and St. Giles Hotel in London.

iBahn will resell Symon’s solution into its large hospitality customer base located throughout North America and EMEA. The initial focus with the new agreement is expected to be on the North American market.

Jim Jones, iBAHN’s vice-president of client services, says that the long-term potential of this relationship includes the possibility of joint products and services in the future.

“The relationship has worked well for both parties in EMEA and we look forward to similar success in the Americas,” says Jones.

iBAHN and Symon will focus on optimizing and monetizing all available screens within a property by providing hoteliers with complete end-to-end digital signage and visual communications solutions. The companies will also capitalize on consumer movement to intelligent mobile devices such as the new generation of sophisticated smartphones and tablets.

The agreement allows iBahn to expand its portfolio of offerings that it can provide hotels, while allowing Symon to have a solid reseller partner that has significant market presence and reputation.

“Symon’s content management expertise coupled with iBAHN’s IP network and network management skills and experience creates incredible synergies that will allow us to jointly improve the guest experience,” says Steve Gurley, Symon’s senior vice-president of marketing and new market development. “Emerging social and technological trends are redefining how businesses interact with consumers and how consumers interact with one another. The iBAHN relationship allows us to jointly capitalize on the opportunities presented by these trends.”
