Wireless Ronin Executive Changes

Wireless Ronin Technologies Inc., Minneapolis-based digital signage provider, has promoted Scott Koller, recently president and COO, to the role of president and CEO, beginning 1st January 2011.

Back in April, James (Jim) Granger had advised the company of his intention to retire as CEO, effective 31st December 2010. “Scott has demonstrated his strengths as our president and COO and we are pleased that he will take the principal executive officer role as our company continues to build its revenue and client base,” says Gregory Barnum, recently chairman of the Board of Directors.

Stephen Birke will take the position of chairman of the Board, effective 1st January 2011. Birke replaces Barnum in that role; however, Barnum will continue to serve as a director of the company, as chairman of the audit committee and as a member of the executive committee.

Wireless Ronin also announced its entry into a consulting agreement with Howe Associates Inc. of the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area. Michael Howe and his associates will perform a business planning and strategy project for the Wireless Ronin.

Howe formerly served as CEO of MinuteClinic and CEO of Arby’s. “We are enthusiastic about the work Michael will do over the next four to six months,” says Koller. “With his experience and credentials, we look forward to working with someone of his caliber and leveraging his experience with the sort of multi-site businesses that represent substantial opportunities for RoninCast digital signage deployments.”
