Immedia Group Should Be Singing

Chris Sheldrake

A few weeks ago newly renamed Immedia Group (formerly Immedia Broadcasting) posted a H1 pretax loss, announced a “strong pipeline of new business” but was still officially unable to name Lloyds TSB as the big customer we alluded to in our post ‘Immedia Broadcasting’s Big New Customer Face-Off‘ in the middle of August.

As their stock, (IME.L) Immedia Group PLC fell down -2.70% again this week perhaps it is time that they started shouting (or should that be ‘singing’) about these sorts of (really good) wins from their rooftop in Newbury, Berkshire.

Immedia now have two of the biggest UK high street banks as customers, these rollouts aren’t (even) small – HSBC is 400+ branches (and very, very good by the way) and this new Lloyds TSB win is 20+ branches from the off AND despite the economic gloom likely to rollout to many more we believe over the next 12 months.

AFX UK Focus

LONDON (Thomson Financial) – Immedia Group Plc. said its first-half pretax loss narrowed to 101,535 pounds from 1.1 million pounds last year and said it has a strong pipeline of new business, which leaves it well placed to make further progress by the year end.

The company said it has taken significant steps in 2008, the benefits of which will be seen in 2009.

The company said revenue for the six months to end-June fell to 1.6 million pounds from 2.0 million pounds a year ago, largely due to the impact of the loss of contracts in 2007 and in part to the reduction in value of certain trials in 2008.

The company said it is already seeing the benefit of new contract wins which will replace the revenue lost from ceased contracts and has ceased its loss making free radio service to independent retailers. tf.TFN-Europe_newsdesk@thomson.com ak/ans/ra

Immedia Group have a great music offering, they are well liked by retailers in the UK (whether they be the aforementioned banks, GAME Group or their other retail customers) BUT if they did some proper PR and marketing they could do (and be) so much more.

They really let their shareholders down by not doing so.

This is a great win for Bruno and his team. Well done guys, you deserve it for being a quality provider and focussing in on the client instead of cutting corners.
