Orlando-based Monster Media is taking advantage of what appears to be the next big trend and buzz word of 2011 in the out-of-home industry: 3D.
One of the pioneers of digital out-of-home advertising, Monster Media is taking advantage of the increased demand for digital 3-D projection by setting up a new division, Monster Media 3-D.
The company, which now has offices around the world, plans to create larger-than-life illusions featuring elaborate effects and digital animations that bring a building’s exterior to life.
“3-D building mapping and projection is an extraordinary and complex experience and this expansion seemed to be a natural fit for our company,” says Chris Beauchamp, CEO of Monster Media. “The all-star team we have created for Monster Media 3-D is headed by Jack Hattingh, and we are excited to have such a big player on board.”
Hattingh has over 30 years of experience in the film industry and has received numerous awards, including a National Emmy in 2003.
Beauchamp says Hattingh has successfully executed more 3-D building projections than anyone else in the world, making this new media company credible and experienced.
Example of Hattingh’ work: a concert in Japan
“Through this remarkable technology, onlookers can witness an entire building virtually transform before their eyes,” says Jack Hattingh, president and chief creative officer of Monster Media 3-D. “These massive, live animation shows fluidly morph a building’s exterior and capture the attention of pedestrians in a way that is impossible to ignore.”
