#dse2011 starts for us Saturday morning with a Virgin Atlantic flight from London Gatwick and a nice early afternoon arrival at McCarran International (Las Vegas) Terminal 2 at 14:05 – with luck we should be through immigration, pick up our car and be at the team hotel (which is the Trump Tower once again) by 15:30 or at the latest 16:00.
We are always out for a good time when in Vegas and Sunday evening sees us go see Penn & Teller for something like the umpteenth time but Monday evening is our real treat – yep! tickets for Barry Manilow at Paris.
Andrew is going to one of the Digital Signage Experts Group certification programmes on the Tuesday and I will have a look round and see what other conferences on the Tuesday I’d like to sit in on.
Late Tuesday afternoon sees the bulk of our close acquaintances arrive and of course at 18:00 that evening the DSE Mixer will see almost 250 folks crowd into the The Pub, Monte Carlo Resort and Casino (3770 Las Vegas Blvd).
The demand for that mixer was huge, absolutely huge and we had a hard time in dishing out our small allocation of VIP passes but happy to say that REED Exhibitions, Prysm, Hiperwall, Mood Media, VUKUNET and Arbitron are our personal guests that evening.
During the show proper there are lots of things we seriously looking forward to and there is no way we can do justice to all of them here but top of our list are: the LG Electronics press breakfast on the Wednesday morning, our own OpenSplash Meeting at the Wynn Encore, the Four Winds Interactive Cocktail Mixer at the Cosmopolitan Casino, the DSE Awards Dinner at the Paris Hotel and various private demos we been invited to.
It’s gonna be a good week!
