Portuguese company Ubisign is exhibiting at #screenmediaexpo for the first time. Ubisign, a web based DS solution, launched in early 2010 offered on a SaaS business model The company has been focused on public entities but is now broadening its market to include retail and some other vertical markets like public passenger transportation and real-estate with specific features built in partnership with companies that lead their respective markets.
Ubising solution is composed of a Silverlight-based web back office and a player application for Windows based PCs, which offers all necessary features to manage a DS network using a very rich and intuitive user interface.
Some special features include template-based or free layout design with overlay and transparency support, MediaRSS support, external live video support (using video capture or TVtuner cards), UGC from sources like Twitter, Youtube, Picasa, Flickr or Blogger. It also features built-in recognition for 2D barcodes and built-in integration with external gesture-recognition devices from our business partner Covii, both used for interactive applications.
