Gail Chiasson, North American Editor

Among LG Electronics’ displays at InfoComm will be SuperSign Elite and SuperSign Premier.

SuperSign Elite is made for the VAR/Integrator that needs a fully customized solution for its end user, and who has the ability to pull together all the necessary pieces and parts to create that solution (hardware, software, content creation, content management, newsfeeds, tech support, etc). Elite is only available as a no cost part of LG’s NC-1000 and NC-2000 solid state media players. It provides basic scheduling and playback and does not have the feature set to support an Enterprise deployment.

SuperSign Premier is a true turnkey cost effective digital signage solution targeted at the SMB owner. It’s not just a hardware and software bundle. Rather, it came about by partnering with a number of Digital Signage companies to offer hardware, software, starter templates, streaming news feeds, stock photography, 24×7 tech support, financing and an ecosystem of custom content developers to support the user base. LGE claims that it is unique in the industry because of the scope and the breadth of its elements. Premier answers the needs of the SMB owner who is looking for something that is ‘simple to buy, simple to sell, simple to use’.

In addition to demonstrating its award-winning SuperSign, LGE will fdisplay an LED video wall and much more. The company will also debut a new digital signage product and next-generation virtualization computing technology.
