LG Electronics, having launched its digital signage solutions in the UK 18 months ago, is launching new products and looking for partners in terms of vendors and resellers to make a strong move in the UK and Ireland.
“People know us in terms of phones and televisions, but we have to get better known in terms of digital signage,” says Roy Martin, technical manager, UK and Ireland IT Solutions, LGE. “We have to get known by the end users. We want to reach 50 end points from what we have, and with our new Enterprise system we can reach hundreds.”LGE will be launching its web-based Enterprise signage solution in late August or early September. It’s a drag-and-drop solution for small- and medium-sized businesses.
The company currently sells its SuperSign out-of-the-box with no licensing or subscription and with a disc (Among others, Fiat is currently using that in its training center in the UK.). Enterprise, on the other hand, is expected to involve licensing and subscriptions.
Also new in the UK in July, will be LGE’s 47” expandable videowall product as well as a 72” backlit commercial LED screen – and coming soon are commercial 3D panels. The company has already launched its 42” and 47” interactive touch screens.
“Our aim is to grow in the UK,” says Martin. “And, of course, if there is a European rollout for our customers, we will work with our people and partners in Europe to make it happen.”
