Not to be confused with Black Magic whuch is just entering the digital signage sector, Magic Box of Corvallis, Oregon, started out in cable and broadcast but entered the digital signage world six years ago.
Magic Box was showing off its new web-based version of its Aavelin software last week.
“We’ve always had an Aavelin version included with players so customers could design their own content,” says Tom Searcy, president. “Now, with our new web-based version, customers can pick up anywhere in the world as long as they have our player.” (It is expected to be under license.)
Magic Box’s players also have a new hardware design, and the company offers its own screens ranging from 5.7” to 10.4”, targeting corporate facilities.
