The Southern States Sign Council and the International Sign Association have teamed up for the premier sign event in the southeastern U.S., to be held Oct. 13-15 at the Doubletree Hotel Buckhead in Atlanta.
The biennial SSSC/ISA Sign Show provides sign industry professionals in the Southeast a prime opportunity to move their businesses forward. With a theme of ‘Take Charge of the Future’, the show provides networking events, educational opportunities, and exhibitor discussions.
“We’re extremely excited to be hosting this event with ISA,” says Ray Peters, president of SSSC and president of AAA Sign Company in Augusta, Ga. “Even in the early stages of planning, we expect this to surpass our 2009 show in attendance and we anticipate that our exhibit space will be completely sold out.”
In all, more than 60 exhibitors are expected to showcase the latest products, technologies, and services. In addition, educational sessions will help attendees learn more about LEDs, working with city planners, and expanding in the global marketplace. New additions to the educational events include roundtable discussions, with sign industry professionals tackling the most pressing issues, and vendor product showcases. Both the roundtable and product showcases are free to attend, though registration is required.
“A regional event like the SSSC/ISA Sign Show offers an excellent opportunity for sign companies to discuss challenges that they share,” said Lori Anderson, ISA president and CEO. “The related networking can lead to coordinated efforts on state and local regulatory issues, or help in finding a resource to better serve a customer’s needs.”
Networking opportunities include golf and poker tournaments, and a Monster Mash costume ball. The tournaments are one of SSSC’s major fundraisers for its scholarship program.
The full slate of events is available at www.signs.org/sssc along with information for exhibitors.
Registration for the SSSC/ISA Sign Show also is available at www.signs.org/sssc. An early-bird registration deadline (Aug. 5) offers a significant savings to attend the exhibit hall, the Monster Mash party, and one educational event. Hotel reservations must be booked by Sept. 21 to receive the discounted rate.
