HotCloud Mobile Inc., Dallas, Texas, and Empire Film Group partnered last week to create a subscription-based mobile device app.
HotCloud Mobile is best known for its FanMaxx platform, and Empire Film Group focuses on modest budget feature films.
David Beeden, CEO, HotCloud Mobile, says that Empire Film’s talents are well-known actors who have a large fan base, which is perfect for building a brand through social sharing.
Empire Film’s biggest success so far has been Blonde and Blonder, starring Pamela Anderson and Denise Richards, and the studio is currently in production on a sequel.
Dean Hamilton Bornstein, CEO of Empire Film Group, says the millions of Twitter followers these actors have are evidence that a social app is a viable financial opportunity. He says that Monetization of Empire’s films through social sharing will be a tremendous value-add.
HotCloud is set to release its FanMaxx celebrity-targeted social application for smartphones in the near future and is seeking additional content partners.
