It’s All A Bit Of a Blur For Boakes
Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief
Seems like Brian Boakes didn’t last long at John Ryan. Back in November 2010 he told us “I’d be hard-pressed to find another organisation with so much management backing and growth potential” as he joined the retail marketing agency John Ryan from his previous employer Camvine.
Now it seems he has turned up at blur Group, joining blur Consulting as Head of Services whilst not even lasting 12 months with John Ryan.

Well I guess we shouldn’t be surprised. Just another poor soul brought in to make changes that will never be accepted as long as the current John Ryan management team is in place. They seem to bring in new “experts” to turn things around about once every 12 to 18 months and then throw them out as soon as they start to suggest things management doesn’t want to admit. Until the current management team is replaced, John Ryan doesn’t have a prayer of changing. I hear tell they’ve hired another new group of “experts” in the Minneapolis office over the past few months. Bets are on that they don’t last more than a year. Wonder if they know they’re doomed to fail?

Why does it feel as if I’ve been on this ride before? That’s right…it’s because we’re stuck in a revolving door!

Just to say, we enjoyed working with Brian lots at Camvine 😉
