Applause TV With Outcast Contest Finalist

While we don’t often write about competition finalists, preferring to wait and see if they are the winner, this one drew our attention: an announcement from Outcast Media, the fuel television network, and Gilbarco Veeder-Root, a worldwide technology leader for retail and commercial fueling operations, that Applause TV with Outcast has been selected as a finalist for CSP’s 2011 Retailer Choice Best New Products Contest in the Technology Hardware category.

Sponsored by CSP Magazine, the CSP Best New Products awards are voted on by convenience-store retailers from around the U.S.. Winners will be announced Oct. 14/11.

Applause TV allows retailers to entertain and inform their customers, while providing them with reasons to come inside the store for higher margin purchases. The system delivers third party national advertising, retailer advertising, news and entertainment content on the large color screens embedded within the gas pump, along with consumer interaction and on-demand coupons at the fuel dispenser.
