MEGAphone – Making Digital Signage Interactive
Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief
I first saw this at the Manchester Urban Screens weekend event back in October 2007.
It is an innovative way to get mobile to screen interactivity without using a Java (or similar) download, SMS or Bluetooth.
There are two ways to send input to the digital screen display: keypad and / or voice. The keypad can be used much like a video game controller, and the volume of the phone’s microphone can also become input in the game.
MegaPhone is NOT a downloadable application that runs on your phone, and it’s NOT a wireless network, like Wifi or Bluetooth.
