Alfred Chong joins 121view as CEO

I have seen sight of 121view a few times over the last few months but haven’t written about them before. They are one of the growing number of Far Eastern technology suppliers in the digital signage arena that I talk about in my presentations and research.
One of the nice things about 121view’s offering is what they call MegaEye™ – something that I have only seen elsewhere from the Israeli based C-nario offering.
The software-based MegaEye™enables non-linear grouping of video wall segments and flexible content control giving folks a low cost and easy to use video wall solution (C-nario better describe this as “a span across monitors, automatic / manual corrections of geometric mismatch and color matching” – same thing though!
We are seeing more and more high profile and industry veterans joining the digital signage industry – in this case Alfred Chong has joined 121view as their new CEO and will be based in the company’s newly opened office in Singapore.
Mr Chong has a wealth of experience in the technology and media industries both in the US and in Asia – he was instrumental in building CompuCom’s services’ infrastructure in the US, in Asia he has led several American based companies such as Powercell, Capstone and Bowman and THISS Technologies Inc.
