Digital Toilet Seat Lid?

We’ve already seen #dsj2011 Sega Urinal Signage, the Pee-Controlled Video Game and MOOH Group DOOH Loos so what else could possibly be new for digital signage (and DOOH) in the land of Mister Pee Pee and Mister Poo Poo?

Well, the President of the Digital Signage Consortium in Japan, Ichiya NAKAMURA presented this idea of having a digital sign as part of the toilet seat lid in his presentation on the first day of the ITU Workshop On Digital Signage in Tokyo.

  1. There’s a design flaw here that means it’s only suitable for gents’ toilets. Ladies would never leave the seat up!

  2. The screen would be part of the lid, Bryan, not the seat. But your point remains valid, as sitting on a toilet obscures the lid from view.
