Danville, Illinois-based Watchfire Signs will showcase its two newest digital signs at the ISA International Sign Expo 2012, including the Price Watcher family of gas price signs (as we wrote about Feb. 2) and the XVS 12mm video display.

The International Sign Expo will take place March 21-24 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. Watchfire will be located in Booth #502.

Watchfire Price Watcher gas price signs will also be featured in the show’s Best New Product/Green Product Showcase located on the Expo floor, where attendees are able to explore the products at their leisure and vote for their favorite products via text message.

Watchfire Price Watcher signs are outdoor LED gas price displays specifically designed for gas stations and convenience stores. They are self-contained units that are designed to fit new structures and easily retrofit into existing signs. Like the full line of Watchfire products, Price Watcher signs include LED modules that are fully encapsulated in a thick bed of silicone. Currently available in 12” and 24” character heights in red, green and amber, the release of 18” and 30” models is planned later this year.

At its ISA booth, Watchfire also will showcase its XVS 12mm sign, the company’s highest resolution sign designed for up-close viewing. The Watchfire XVS 12mm sign is targeted for businesses requiring outdoor signage with high-resolution LED images, full-motion video capability at up to 60 frames per second with optional live–video capability. It offers 73.7 quintillion colors and features whole-sign color calibration and automated diagnostics. Watchfire’s signature through-hole module construction offers the highest image quality and durability on the market. The 12mm model delivers an optimal balance of brightness (7500 NITs) and energy efficiency, producing images 1.5 times brighter than some surface-mount models and providing 32%-to-53% energy cost savings to increase return on investment.

Beveled module edges deliver near-seamless installation, even around curves. In addition, the 12mm module uses the same 12” x 12” form factor as the 19mm module. Standardizing the module size makes it possible for owners of 19mm signs to upgrade to the high resolution 12mm modules when the need arises.
