Puma On The Move

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

In an interesting twist on Pop-Up Stores, here we see Puma City, from the German sports retailer – a complete retail store, made up from a number of cargo containers.

Puma City is currently in Alicante, Spain but next stop is Boston Harbour in April 2009 and for anyone interested in retail innovation it will be well worth a visit.

It was built to support Volvo’s Ocean Race and when it is ready to move on, it can be disassembled and shipped to its next destination on a traditional cargo ship.

It was designed by the architecture firm LOT-EK

There are some great pictures of it over in the Inhabitat.com weblog
