McDonald’s To Hire First UK Head Of Digital
Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief
In an article first published in marketingmagazine.co.uk BlandRepublic reports that “McDonald’s is looking to hire its first UK head of digital in an attempt to improve its in-restaurant experience”.
It continues “The chain has begun the recruitment process, with the successful applicant to oversee the ‘digitising’ of its UK restaurants, including the addition of multichannel ordering and the latest payment technologies”
McDonalds’s in the UK needs to get a move with the use of new technology inside their restaurants.
It’s had a stop / start approach so far (we’ve been involved in a few initiatives, some going back as far as 2003) and if you look at what McDonald’s in Eastern Europe is doing (all hush hush at the moment but it looks amazing) the UK has a lot of catching up to do.
BlandRepublic reports that “the head of digital will play a key role in marketing McDonald’s digital innovations, working alongside its UK marketing director, Alistair Macrow”
