PowerWave Makes Management And Sales Appointments

Allan Baedak as vice-president brand management and George Higgins as vice- president strategic marketing, are two of several appointments made at PowerWave Mobile Engagement Inc., with offices in Toronto and Vancouver.
Both Baedak and Higgins join the management team of the company which will be launching PowerWave / E-Port Interactive ‘SmartCab’ touch screens in the backseat of taxis in Winnipeg and Vancouver in early- to mid-October, 2012.
“The individual and collective expertise of Allan and George in the marketing communications industry will greatly enhance our ability to service our clients’ needs in the marketplace as we build toward future growth of the business,” says Bill Brooks, managing partner / CEO.
Baedak, brings a wealth of communication experience which will be of benefit to both the internal and external brand management service requirements of the company. while Higgins, a seasoned strategic marketer with a background in client relations, will focus on the development of specific areas of business for the company, namely the taxi cab and tourism industries.
PowerWave has also appointed seasoned out-of-home media specialists, Brent Barnett to the position of sales director, Metro Vancouver, and Baillie Burke as sales director, Winnipeg. Layla Bamford has joined the company as sales representative in Metro Vancouver.
“Brent, Baillie and Layla are welcomed additions to the PowerWave Team” says Brooks. “This allows us to begin our retail media sales efforts in two key markets for our new offer with taxi fleets across the country.”
The prime focus of the sales team in both Metro Vancouver and Winnipeg is the sale of media space on the taxi touch screens, launching this fall.
