Digital Signage EXPO2008 (Essen, Germany)

A couple of Dutch vendors have told us that they will be attending the pan-European Digital Signage EXPO2008 6, 7, 8 May 2008 in Essen Germany.
The event is described as “the only truly pan-European event for digital signage solutions” though I think we would agree that Screen Expo Europe is also in that fold.
I bet in fact that Screen Expo gets more continental European attendees and exhibitors than UK folks (what with the English / UK reserve about trade shows in general).
It’s not clear yet exactly who will be exhibiting, we have asked round the usual suspects and had a mixed response. I think it could be a good event as it is in a good location to attract continental European vendors (hence the Dutch folks driving over to it) but we will reserve judgement until we get the full exhibitor list (and of course let you know).
We do hope to be covering the show in person with 1 of our German speaking researchers plus, most probably myself.

By the way, we had a lot of support for our criticism of “Sign and Digital UK 2008” with a lot of last year’s exhibitors and attendees telling us that they were not planning on going to this event next time round.
