At the international trade fair InnoTrans, in Berlin, 18 to 21 Sept. 18-21, 2012, AEG MIS of Ulm, Germany, will be appearing under its new company name ‘BMG Gesellschaft für moderne Informationssysteme’ (BMG MIS).
It will be the premiere for the new BMG MIS to present its newest products in the field of passenger information systems, after the official name change last week. The BMG stands for the initial letter of both managing directors of the company, Dr. Reiner Bayrle and Peter Mack, i.e. Bayrle Mack Group.
The company is a manufacturer of information systems worldwide, manufacturer in the display market and manufacturer of LCDs. The company’s modern information systems inform daily millions of people at train stations, airports and bus stops with current travel information. They also direct hundreds of thousands of cars through the road traffic and inform thousands of people about current events.
Bayrle and Mack acquired the company AEG MIS 15 years ago in a management buy-out from the former Daimler-Benz concern. They also adopted the name AEG MIS, which was at that time already in existence. Today, AEG no longer exists as a company and their licences are managed by the company Electrolux in Sweden.
BMG MIS has decided that the recent move to its new location at the Science Park II, in Ulm, was the right time to give the dynamic company a new name, which will still stand for modern information systems.
