Glassy New Landmark (and Lots of Screens)

BAA’s new Terminal 5 which opens at 5am on Thursday, 27 March 2008 will not only be a ‘glassy new landmark’ as described by the Independent newspaper it will also be a mecca to all things digital signage.
JC Decaux tell us that 90% of their display faces at Terminal 5 will be digital!
The Independent newspaper last Saturday also spoke of another giant TV screen at the new Terminal (not the Sony HD World Duty Free one described in a post earlier in December)…
While waiting for their baggage, arriving passengers will be able to photograph themselves on their mobile phones, and send the image to a giant TV screen with a message for their family and friends. After a 24-hour flight from Sydney, the results might disappoint.
T5 looks like it will be something to behold.
