Ocean Outdoor, premium digital outdoor media owner, has unveiled a raft of key sales and marketing appointments as the company gears up for UK expansion and international growth in 2013.
Ocean has doubled the size of its sales team, hiring four new account directors and implementing a restructure of its sales operation under sales director Iain Chapman.The sales and marketing appointments are from a range of disciplines and bring expertise from outdoor specialists, international, strategic planning and mobile agencies.
Under the restructure, Danielle Finch and Nick Shaw have both been promoted to agency sales directors, sharing responsibility across the major agency groups and outdoor specialists.
Iain Chapman says, “This year, our focus will continue to be on customer service, collaboration and the expansion of our business base in the UK and internationally. This investment in our sales capability will enable us to work with our customers at a deeper level, targeting new revenue streams from mobile and online budgets and help articulate The Art of Outdoor to a wider audience.”
Ocean’s new account directors are Catherine Morgan who joins from EYE where she was business director, Amanda Railton from Clear Channel, Priti Kara from Primesight and Tony Ridd from PSI, the international specialist.
Jessica Davies also joins Ocean from EYE as a senior account manager and intern Edward Lumley has been promoted to sales executive.
Ocean has also made two further appointments in its marketing team. Marketing manager Jess Macintyre joins from branding agency Aesop and Matt Wilson joins as design executive from gyro London. They report to marketing director Richard Malton.
Four interns who joined Ocean last year have now been given permanent jobs at Ocean across development, marketing and operations.
In addition, Ocean recently appointed 7 Heaven Media as its international sales agent, working alongside its UK sales team.
