Millennial Media to Acquire Metaresolver

We hear that Baltimore, Maryland-based Millennial Media, mobile ad technology company, has signed a deal to acquire Mertaresolver, San Francisco developer of a media buying platform for mobile advertisers.

Financial terms of the all-cash deal were not disclosed.

Seamus McAteer, CEO of Metaresolver, launched the company last year. Its platform is designed to accurately target mobile users by location, device, connection and content. It then refines those results through marketing and media intelligence.

McAteer previously co-founded mobile audience measurement firm M:Metrics, which he sold to Reston-based comScore for $44.3 million in 2008.
