North Face Uses Digital Signage To Create Store Ambience
Opened in the newly renovated section of Toronto’s Yorkdale Mall, North Face experience store uses a tasteful selection of 40-46” monitors to complement in-store merchandising.
Sprinkled on end-caps and built-into themed ‘stations’ (each dedicated to a sport, an element or technology benefit of North Face gear) displays add to the ambiance and brand experience without overpowering the retail environment.
A good example how even a hang-and bang (not-enclosed or built-into retail furniture) displays can complement a retail experience if content and merchandising are properly considered in the deployment.
If critique it to be handed down, some stations relied on audio and showed celebrity endorser interview-style content – not optimal for an in-store application. Some interactivity would also be desired, especially with such wide section of products, styles and technical applications of North Face Gear.
