NEC DisplayNote Solutions for Corporate Audiences
NEC Display Solutions of America, Chicago-based provider provider of commercial LCD display and projector solutions, has introduced NEC DisplayNote Software, a tool that lets educators, students, professionals and others present and share content, and collaborate across any device and platform.
DisplayNote, a provider of interactive software solutions to integrate PCs, tablet devices and projectors, have expanded their partnership to the U.S. and are now jointly developing deeper integration with the NEC product portfolio.
Users can annotate, underline, highlight and add notes to a presentation with DisplayNote Software. They also can send private messages to participants, build work groups, make any participant a presenter, and view a participant’s screen. The tool works with existing projectors and screens, negating the need to purchase new equipment. It also works with any education software platform, and the built-in projector control eliminates the need for costly external hardware.
“Our partnership with NEC Display Solutions enables a new wave of multi-user collaboration, one that enhances interaction and convenience,” says Eddie Morgan, head of marketing at DisplayNote. “This solution will not only improve learning outcomes, but also improve the whole learning experience as well as foster new levels of collaborative working.”
Among the other benefits of DisplayNote Software, audience members can connect to a presenter’s session, capture the displayed content, and save it for future reference. Participants not only receive the presenter’s annotations, but also can create their own personalized annotations and notes, and save them for future reference.
“DisplayNote Software lets people work on the devices with which they already are familiar and which are driving the mobile revolution,” says Richard McPherson, senior product manager of projectors for NEC Display Solutions. “The DisplayNote platform is another example of NEC ingenuity to drive productivity efficiencies in the markets we serve.”
With DisplayNote Software, users can begin a session and open any type of content, be it video, an image, or PowerPoint. Through the Collaboration Mode feature, groups of devices can work together to share presentations, annotations and images.
In the classroom or training facility, DisplayNote Software allows educators to always be facing students while teaching, and their devices can be passed around the classroom, increasing student interactivity.
NEC DisplayNote Software is compatible across platforms (Windows, Mac and Linux) and compatible with any device (iTunes App Store, Google Play for Android tablets, laptops and smartphones).
