The Digital Place-based Advertising Association (DPAA) will officially announce tomorrow that François de Gaspé Beaubien, Chairman & Chief Coaching Officer of Zoom Media, has been voted in as DPAA’s new Chairman of the Board (François de Gaspé Beaubien has been a DPAA board member since 2006).
Mike DiFranza, who recently resigned from the DPAA board when he stepped down as President of Captivate Network (following its sale to Generation Partners) has been voted Founding Chairman in recognition of his many contributions to the organization and the digital place-based media industry .
François de Gaspé Beaubien told us “On behalf of the entire board, I am delighted to announce Mike DiFranza’s appointment as Founding Chairman. During Mike’s seven years as Chairman he played an integral role in the development of the DPAA and, in turn, the rapid growth and maturation of our entire industry. We are extremely grateful for all that Mike did for digital place-based media.”
Barry Frey said, “I personally appreciate Mike’s counsel these past several months and am pleased the board voted to recognize his contributions. Looking forward, I am excited to work more closely with François, a long time valuable contributor to our board and a leader in our growing industry”.
