You have got to hand it to ComQi, they are nothing if not obvious. Fresh from news that one of their last remaining networks, on being acquired, would switch to BroadSign (losing whatever revenue they had on approximately 500 licenses), they issue an almost immediate press release on some nonsensical software update to try and keep themselves ‘relevant’ and in the news.
Never mind ‘ComQi’s Enhanced OnSite Manager Raises Bar for Local Digital Signage Messaging’ – the company has no major customers to speak of, must surely be running on fumes and whatever they try to say are still irrelevant.

50 quid says OnSite Manager was developed for HealthBridge.

Mr Hill I’m afraid you’re £50 down. OSM was developed long before HealthBridge. That’s surely £50 towards the charity of choice for DailyDOOH.

Wonga, you are likely correct. Had I read the actual release, I’d have noticed that PlayNetwork was quoted. Unfortunately, Comqi’s Shazam and Magic Mirror releases rendered all subsequent PR unreadable by this bookmaker. So, shall we parlay the 50 quid on them losing Play’s business by year end? Certainly Adrian’s favourite charity wins either way.

“Comqi, Park Media and Scala all have bits of business with PlayNetwork so news that reached us a few weeks ago during the OAAA/TAB event that PlayNetwork are likely to ditch all three of them will have sent shock waves in the direction of one of those companies in particular!”, see http://www.dailydooh.com/archives/95952
… so yes, you are probably correct. We’d expect someone like BroadSign to pick up the business.
