It’s Out of Home NOT Outdoor

François de Gaspé Beaubien, Chairman & Chief Coaching Officer of Zoom Media and Chairman of the Board of the Draught Proofing Advisory Association suggested to the audience (some 300+ folks) at last week’s 55th FEPE Congress in Vienna that the assembled industry executives should refer to their industry as Out of Home as opposed to ‘Outdoor’.

There was no mention of Digital Place Based media, even with the slides referring to you know who – that was all ‘video everywhere’. No doubt DpB terminology is now pretty much a lost cause.

Francois’ mini-roadshow with his speech ‘Transforming Out Of Home’ which is well worth hearing, has so far included; Los Angeles, The 4A’s Transformation: The Idea Effect, the #CONNECT2014 OAAA/TAB event in Orlando, FL and the 55th FEPE Congress in Vienna.

Next up for this Francois presentation will be its keynote at The DailyDOOH Investor Conference in NYC in October 22 as part of New York Digital Signage Week.
