In its first strategic acquisition since it launched as Cieslok Media Ltd. after taking over Titan Canada in Sept./13, Cieslok has purchased the assets of Clarity Outdoor Media, giving it an even more solid grasp of much of Toronto’s out-of-home media scene.
The acquisition includes two new locations to add to the Cieslok roster on the heavily travelled Gardiner Expressway, a domination at the intersection of Spadina & Dundas, in the heart of Toronto’s Chinatown and a new digital location in downtown Vancouver.
The Gardiner boards, one facing east and one facing west, include a multi-media domination incorporating tri-visions and digital displays. The east facing domination has a full motion video display (the only full motion digital board on the Gardiner); while the west face includes a static digital display. This location is a highly sought after, stand alone structure on the south side of the highway directly located on the Exhibition Place grounds.
The Spadina location also incorporates a multi-media approach with a building wrap and digital video board and again is the only digital board located in the area. This ideal location is centrally located in Toronto’s Chinatown district, steps from popular Kensington market and in close proximity to Toronto’s Fashion District.
Jörg Cieslok, president & CEO says, “The growth plans for Cieslok over the next few years are aggressive, with digital and new technologies, partnered with additional strategic acquisitions, at the forefront of plans. Building our inventory in major markets where there is high demand and low inventory will also be pivotal in our growth plans. This strategic acquisition was a opportunity for us to increase our presence in the downtown Toronto core and procure the only digital video boards available on the Gardiner Expressway and along the Spadina corridor.”
Cieslok Media is a major large-scale out-of-home media supplier in Canada with offices in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. Boasting some of the most viewed and sizeable inventory in the business, including the most signage available at Yonge and Dundas Square, Cieslok Media’s roster has both history and innovation, with ownership of legacy boards (in market for over two decades) through to the latest and greatest in high-tech digital. Mobile advertising elements such as geo-targeted, in-app banner ads as well as unique digital capabilities like live streaming video, RSS feeds from Twitter, Facebook, news and sports updates, and the ability to display multiple creative elements play a major role in the Cieslok network.
