RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust has chosen CBS Outdoor Canada as the winning company to operate its digital assets at its flagship Toronto property, the RioCan Yonge Eglinton Centre, effective Aug. 1/14.
The RioCan Yonge Eglinton Centre will be a pivotal location for showcasing innovative media campaigns with an opportunity to mix social media, product displays and dynamic content with state of the art digital screens.
Yonge and Eglinton is an uncluttered advertising environment with a traffic volume of over 125,000 daily (combined vehicular & pedestrian).
RioCan Yonge Eglinton Centre is concluding a $65 million expansion and renovation which includes the integration of 61 digital units, varying in size from two large exterior 14’x 48’s to a variety of interior sizes (55”, 70”, 4’x 6’).
The two large exterior LED digital units are ideally situated to capture vehicular and pedestrian traffic at the intersection while also providing a dynamic backdrop to the newly designed corner courtyard space. Inside there are showpiece digital panoramas in the newly designed main concourse level of the centre which can be used to showcase product displays, sampling or street teams. Digital screens are also situated throughout the shopping areas, food court and subway concourse providing the opportunity to reach all or parts of the community that visit the centre daily.
Yonge and Eglinton is at the hub of several affluent Toronto neighbourhoods and is a strong shopping, dining and entertainment destination, as well as a vibrant daytime business district.
The Eglinton subway station is a key transit hub on the Yonge subway line. The Eglinton Crosstown LRT line, already under construction and scheduled for completion in 2020, will only increase the importance of this busy intersection.
RioCan Yonge Eglinton Centre aims at establishing itself as the most engaging urban environment in the city. This is an iconic digital offering at the heart of midtown Toronto.
