Airport Partners International WLTM New Members

Charlie Hugill, who was at Posterscope’s international division PSI for almost 20 years (and before that he was at Sky Sites – which is now JCDecaux Airport) but most recently (for the last two years) an Independent consultant to the Out-of-Home industry in the UK and overseas is now it seems Director, Airport Partners International.
Charlie has a very good reputation in the industry and is especially knowledgeable about the global airport marketplace.
Airport Partners are of course the company that bought Eye UK from Ten Network Holdings Limited (ASX:TEN) and who most probably sell advertising at all the UK airports where JCDecaux Airports do not.
In an announcement this week it looks very much like that Airport Partners are trying to establish a more international operation under an Airport Partners International (API) umbrella.
API is based in London, with the stated aim of becoming the premier international representative network for airport advertising companies from overseas. It has already developed a roster of founder members drawn from five continents.
Charlie wanted to make it clear that API does NOT compete with established relationships or existing routes of supply between participating vendors and their clients and NOR does it function as a campaign planning/buying entity.
Charlie Hugill, Director of Airport Partners International, told us “For as long as anyone can remember, there has never been a viable, independent, well-resourced organisation with global expertise in airport media ownership, based in London. The API member network fills that gap.”
The API membership serves to introduce advertisers and airport media owners to one another in a new way, enabling them to do business across the network via a simple process.
Following the launch announcement, API is keen to hear from independent airport media vendors looking to grow their direct business.
About Airport Partners International
In 2013 Airport Partners & Eye Corp UK merged to form Eye Airports, a new UK-based airport media owner. Eye Airports has a sizeable presence in the UK market, operating exclusive advertising rights in the majority of UK airports, with a total passenger throughput of 100 million per annum. As a consequence of this and other market developments, Airport Partners International has been created.
Sitting alongside Eye Airports within the AdGroup of companies, API is a representative network based in London, for independent airport advertising owners from around the world.
