AddMirror, Toronto, with offices in Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary, has just introduced a new way of engaging people across select resto-lounge locations that make up its national network by retrofitting the original AddMirror format to include a video panel.

Triggered by a motion sensor, the AddMirror with Video literally ‘comes to life’ with a pre-set sequence of advertiser static branding/images plus activation of the video screen which includes audio. Both the static images and video appear from behind the mirror and deliver a resonating response from customers.

The launch partner for the new AddMirror with Video was Cottonelle.

“Our brand is all about offering consumers superior premium products and leadership and we wanted to be among the first to take advantage of this high impact media,” says Tara Chetkowski, senior brand manager, family care at Kimberly-Clark. “Our message was exclusive, unexpected and in the right environment.”

As part of its unique offering, AddMirror provides advertisers exclusivity on the full mirror, including the video, plus the flexibility to determine sequencing according to creative strategy and video length. Further, the advertiser’s message is exclusive to the resto-lounge and has proven to deliver high ad awareness and recall.

“AddMirror is successful because of its focused resto-lounge network, unique interaction experience and advertiser exclusivity,” says Elliott Atkins, president, AddMirror Canada. “With the latest video enhancement, we wanted to establish a different way and model of how advertisers connect to audiences and get away from the standard video ad loop on a wall.”

AddMirror is a joint partnership between AddMirror Canada and Media City, Montreal, with offices in Toronto and Vancouver. Ad sales are handled exclusively by Media City, whose products are available across six networks: Office Towers, Resto-Lounges, Medical Buildings, Shopping Centres, Outdoor and Digital.
