We didn’t manage to get a picture of the Broadsign stand but they were at Infocomm as well as Scala as shown here. In fact the most obvious absentees from our top five in the digital signage world were Enqii (apart from Screen Expo do they ever do shows?) , Cisco (who are very mean […]

The Samsung stand and stage and everything else was huge and must have been the largest of the stands. We are always confused (yes I know we are always easily confused, Ed) when talking to Samsung as you tend to get different stories (not intentionally and not dishonestly by the way) depending on whether you […]

Just like at ISE Amsterdam Planar had a nice big stand at Infocomm. Lots and lots of different sized screens showing lots of different simulations. The screen side of the business was showing off lots of control room and casino environments whereas the Coolsign software part focussed as you can see here on retail and […]

Anyone who has ever been to Vegas will tell you that there are some great digital signage and digital out of home applications there. There are also some installations, like ‘The Fashion Show’ which were great when first installed but 5 years later look tired (physically) and need updating. There are also some plain ridiculous […]

Today we have two exclusives for you from Posterscope in London. The first of which is the launch of their rather nice online screengallery which can be found at http://www.screengallery.co.uk This is basically a library of content, promotional videos and photography for digital out-of-home screen networks as compiled by Hyperspace / Posterscope. Student Union TV have been quiet of late but nonetheless busy for that we believe. We last wrote of them a campaign update “Student Union TV – What is your excuse?” back in August last year (if you are a network please don’t leave it that long before giving us brand campaign updates) anyway… … […]

At Infocomm we also liked this 4mm LED screen from Daktronics – it was in a slightly unusual aspect ratio which actually helped make it stand out from all the others on the show floor. The content used showed off the colour depth, the contrast ratio and the resolution well but we think they should […]

These guys Dynasign had a small stand at Infocomm but seemed to be attracting a lot of AV guys’ attention. Some of you may have read the Digital Signage Forum’s review of their product (these we believe are often paid for so never sure of their impartiality)… “We thought we’ve seen them all before. Scores […]

As well as the usual big digital signage players (we will get to their stands later) there were many smaller ones and new entrants at Infocomm. QoVision caught our eye only because in one of those odd twists of fate we wrote about them less than a week ago in the context of Digital Signage […]

First thing on the agenda at Infocomm was to see C-nario’s Cube system used to build this very impressive 40 video wall. These 40 video screens were run by 10 PCs – simply add more PCs (there is a maximum but we forget what it is but it was astronomical) and theoretically this solution could […]
