We had heard that IMRSV, developers of CARA (whose software always bore an uncanny resemblance to market leader Quividi’s) was for sale but we stumbled upon this news that Kairos, a Miami-based face recognition start-up, has acquired them. Reuters reported Friday that Exterion Media (nee CBS Outdoor International) the UK outdoor media owner bought by the private equity firm Platinum Equity in September 2013 has hired the Royal Bank of Canada, we quote Reuters here, “exploring strategic alternatives, including a major acquisition, according to people familiar with the matter”.
