Redesigned SmartMount @PeerlessAV Wall Mounts

September 18th, 2024

Andrew Neale

AV technology pioneer Peerless-AV has announced the launch of three new redesigned SmartMount Articulating Wall Mounts.

A group of professional women engage in a video call in a bright office, dressed in smart attire, with a digital screen displaying remote colleagues.

The new models, SA752PU (43” to 65”+ displays), SA761PU (43” to 75”+ displays), and SA771PU (50” to 90”+ displays), are revolutionising display mounting with enhanced versatility, durability, simplified installation, and the ability to accommodate larger displays.

Key improvements of the redesigned SmartMount Articulating Wall Mounts include a high-quality steel construction for exceptional strength for long-term use, and longer arms offering a wider viewing range for displays over 65”. The robust cast aluminium arms ensure mounts can support heavier displays with smooth articulation thanks to the high-quality brass brushings. This combination of materials ensures these wall mounts are easily manoeuvred without compromising stability and security.

The redesigned models also feature enhanced flexibility with upgraded adapter brackets and more versatile VESA placement. With three attachment options on the adaptor bracket to accommodate upper, centre, and lower VESA patterns, it is easier to replace displays within the existing mount. The refined Hook and Hang feature with a larger landing area makes attaching heavier displays easier. Complete with a durable powder-coated finish, the redesigned mounts are resistant to scratching and chipping, ensuring a sleek finish even with frequent adjustments.

“These mounts are much anticipated and really exemplify our commitment to continuous innovation and enhancement of our core products in anticipation of evolving market trends,” said Nick Belcore, Executive Vice President at Peerless-AV. “The redesign of this popular SmartMount Articulating Wall Mount series reflects the evolving LCD display support requirements of customers across a wide range of sectors including hospitality, education, corporate and government. We will continue to future-proof our existing systems to ensure installers have the best integration experience.”

The SmartMount Articulating Wall Mount series offers several innovative features for hassle-free installation and versatile use, such as the I-shaped adapter to ensure displays are centred and Locking Tilt technology to easily find perfect viewing angle simple.

Each model allows for 90-degree pivoting to find the perfect display position and easy 5-degree post-installation levelling. Offering an increased swivel for large displays, the SA752PU model extends displays up to 765mm (30.1”) or retracts 76mm (3.0”) from walls, while the SA761PU and SA771PU models extend displays up to 774mm (30.5”) or retracts 76mm (3.0”) from the wall with a newly improved ±8.0” (203mm) horizontal adjustment range to help centre displays on a wall even if your stud spacing is not centred.

The In-Wall box accessories (IB14X9-W, IB14X14-W) and open-access design make accessing power or AV devices easier than ever with flexible placement options. Cable management has also been upgraded with snap-in-place covers and the versatile wall plate supports 406mm (16”) and 508mm (20”) stud spacing and extension to 609mm (24”) spacing with the ACC-SAWPE accessory. Snap-on covers hide the wall plates and hardware to guarantee a sleek and professional finish.

Sharp NEC Display Solutions Europe announces the launch of the first LCD laser installation projector under the Sharp brand. The new model offers very high brightness with a compact, silent and energy efficient design. Ideal application scenarios include corporate auditoriums, universities, museums and immersive projection mapping.

With almost DC-P3 colour space, the Sharp A201U offers the widest LCD projector colour space in the industry and is the only LCD projector in the market to use an RB laser light source. It produces vivid reds, delivers excellent colour performance and projects images that are remarkably lifelike at 20KLm brightness and WUXGA resolution. The A201U features the latest IP5X-rated sealed optical engine which protects against even the finest dust particles. Brilliant colour brightness is maintained for long-lasting imaging performance with no filter cleaning. Users benefit from multiple lens options from the Sharp/NEC portfolio and compatibility with legacy lenses from the PA Series.

The Sharp A201U also has incredible visualisation capabilities: impressive free tilt and portrait installation capability, unique geometric adjustment, picture in picture, tiling and camera-based blending. Simplified installation is ensured via an HDBaseT-out interface that enables daisy-chaining of multiple projectors via cost-efficient network cables to a single source. The model also supports ProAssist which makes the projector setup and corrections of system settings easy. Picture adjustment, lens adjustment, geometric correction, blending adjustment, colour uniformity, white balance of several projectors, and automatic camera-based adjustment of two projectors – all these adjustments and more can be easily managed with the help of ProAssist.

“We are very proud of releasing this new installation projector that is unique in the market and designed for efficiency – the small footprint defies the high brightness delivery at low energy consumption”, says Gerd Kaiser, Senior Product Line Manager Large Venue Projectors at Sharp/NEC. “As with all our new product launches, this Sharp branded model is deeply rooted in NEC’s legacy of quality, sustainability and projection expertise. As such, with the wide colour space, high brightness and resolution, and the sealed, filterless optical engine, the A201U is ideal for everyone who needs a new solution for museum projection, immersive projection mapping, corporate or university auditorium use.”
