Icelandic #DigitalSignage Firm Launch Signital

Signital, is a new digital signage software developed by the Icelandic technology company Dacoda.

After two years of development as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product, the press release said that the system promises to redefine how businesses manage their digital displays.

Unlike traditional digital signage systems that usually require physical players or proprietary hardware, Signital offers a ‘hardware-free’ solution. It turns any internet-connected display, such as a standard smart TV, into a fully functional digital signage screen, leveraging the display’s own built-in browser.

While Signital does not require external players, it is fully compatible with a wide range of devices. Key features include:-

  • No Expensive Hardware: Signital eliminates the need for external players, streamlining costs and setup.
  • Multi-Screen Management: Businesses can manage multiple displays across different locations effortlessly, synchronizing them into a single channel.
  • User-Friendly SaaS Platform: Accessible from anywhere, Signital’s cloud-based system allows users to update and manage content with just a few clicks.
  • Instant Scalability: From a single screen to hundreds, Signital’s flexible infrastructure scales seamlessly to meet any business’s needs.

It’s yet to be seen whether the global rollout of Signital positions Dacoda as a strong competitor in the digital signage market.

New Madrid @Scala Showroom

Scala has opened a showroom space in Madrid where Scala technology can be sampled and new custom-made solutions developed and shared.

Located on the 4th floor of Condesa de Venadito, 1. Madrid, the showroom is well served by local, national and international transport links including the Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport. The Scala showroom has been operational since September and was officially opened on Thursday, November 21 with an opening reception attended by 50 guests including Disney, Leroy Merlin and NCR.

The showroom is separated into industry-specific zones including a grocery space in which the benefits of integrated signage and customer communications in a retail environment are showcased, and a restaurant area where Scala’s menu board, ordering and fulfillment solutions are shared.

Taiwo Ayomide Abiuwa Joins @Saturn_Visual

Award-winning digital signage consultancy, Saturn Visual Solutions has announced the appointment of Taiwo Ayomide Abiuwa as technical engineer, the latest hire in a year of expansion for the business.

During the last 12 months, Saturn has bolstered its teams across technical support, motion graphics, installation and finance/commercial.

Taiwo’s appointment will further enhance the technical support team, which provides a hardware/software trouble-shooting service and advises clients on how to use and get the most out of their content management system.

Lee Holland & Nick Shaw Join INFiLED

Nick Shaw has joined INFiLED as vice president of sales, and Lee Holland has joined as sales manager.

  • Nick brings experience through a plethora of previous senior roles in sales, business development and operational delivery at ROE Visual, Samsung, NEC, and Prysm.
  • Lee brings more than 25 years of experience in the AV and IT markets. Rejoining the AV industry in 2017, He has focused on business development and sales management, specialising in LED and display technology.

tvONE, a leader in video processing, signal distribution and media server technology, has announced the appointment of Jon Hubery as EU Sales Leader. With over two decades of experience in the Pro AV industry, Jon brings a wealth of knowledge to the areas of audio-visual integration, distribution, and manufacturing.

Jon has been with tvONE in various capacities over the years, most recently serving as Regional Sales Manager for Scandinavia, the Middle East, and India. He has also held key sales roles including AV Sales Manager for Holdan, Sales Executive at Bullet Point Presentations, and Education Sales Manager at Saville Audio Visual.

PPDS, the exclusive global provider of Philips Professional Displays has announced that its multi-award-winning Philips Tableaux ‘zero power’ ePaper Series, has been selected to ‘revolutionise’ in-house communications at the historic Nenuphar restaurant and hotel, by delivering a low cost, highly sustainable, digital alternative to paper.

With a history dating back to 1795 and located on the scenic banks of the river Leie in Afsnee, a sub-municipality of the city of Ghent, Belgium, the Nenuphar is a popular ‘high-end’ destination and overnight retreat for locals and tourists seeking a welcoming and serene atmosphere away from the busy streets of Ghent city centre.
