Taxi Media and @HuqIndustries Partner For Moving #OOH Audience Measurement

Leading out-of-home taxi advertising network Taxi Media has partnered with geo-behavioural consumer data specialist Huq Industries to offer a new means to track taxis and measure audiences in an taxi-advertising-exclusive deal that present clients with greater insight and accountability in taxi advertising than ever before.

Taxi Media’s ‘Array’ platform invests heavily in advancing the amount of data and detail available to advertising clients. It combines audience measurement, taxi tracking, online search and social opportunities. Array’s real-world audience measurement component is provided by geo-behavioural research specialist Huq Industries, drawing on their first-party panel of millions of consumers across the UK.

Charles Parry-Okeden Becomes ‪@OMA_Australia ‬Chair

The Australian Outdoor Media Association (OMA) has today announced that industry veteran Charles Parry-Okeden will step into the role of Chairman of the OMA and MOVE (Measurement of Outdoor Visibility and Exposure), for a two-year term.

He is of course, the Co-founder and Global Chief Executive of Executive Channel Holdings Pty, Ltd (ECH) which owns Executive Channel Europe, Executive Channel Deutschland and Australian Media Channel (Media i).

Charmaine Moldrich, CEO of the OMA told us “The change and growth in the Outdoor industry over the last few years has been unprecedented and the industry body now requires a new structure of leadership. Charles was previously a director of the OMA board, as CEO of Executive Channel Network Australia (ECN) before it was sold to oOh!media in 2016. We welcome him back, to help guide us through the next stage of our growth.”

Steve Cadwell Joins @TaximediaUK

Steve Cadwell has joined Taxi Media to Sales Director, in a hire that we are told, will see the Out of Home taxi advertising experts expand beyond London to provide opportunities for UK agencies to advertise on taxis across the UK.

Steve joins Taxi Media after 21 years in advertising, 13 of those being in senior positions at familiar names such as JCDecaux and Exterion Media> Most recently he has been with Hi-Street Digital Media.

oOh!media Announces Double-Digit Organic Revenue Growth

oOh!media Limited (ASX:OML) (oOh!) this week announced double-digit organic revenue growth, together with a strong fourth-quarter contribution from the Commute business (formerly Adshel) for the year ended 31 December 2018 (“CY18”).

oOh! continues to leverage the reach and diversity of its product portfolio in the Out Of Home media sector with strong revenue growth in Road and ongoing significant improvements in Fly and Locate from the previous year. Organic revenue increased by 10% to $416.8 million.

The strong contribution from the Commute business, which was acquired on 28 September 2018, resulted in total revenue increasing by 27% to $482.6 million.

Total Underlying EBITDA increased by 25% to $112.5 million with organic underlying EBITDA growth (excluding Commute) increased by 5% to $94.2 million.

Three New Hires ‪@LeyardGroup / @PlanarSystems ‬

Leyard and Planar have welcomed John Hurst as account manager for the companies’ Florida sales team. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the proAV industry, including a recent project management role at BCI Integrated Solutions and previous vice president position at Sound Insights, Inc. In his new role, John will manage Leyard and Planar’s sales efforts in Florida and the Caribbean, and report to VP of Sales for the Central and East USA, Bill Hildebrand.

Greg Haas joins the companies with nearly 30 years of AV industry experience, including roles in sales, management and business development. He most recently served as regional sales manager for ClearOne and previously held a similar role at Crestron for nearly 10 years. As an account manager for Leyard and Planar’s Washington, D.C. sales team, Greg will leverage his extensive professional network to help extend the team’s reach across Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia.

Rob Jenkins also joins Leyard and Planar’s Washington, D.C. sales team as an account manager. He brings more than five years of sales experience and a very versatile background. Most recently working for premier luxury homebuilder, NVHomes, Rob comes to Leyard and Planar with experience working in a national top 10 selling community.

Rob and Greg both join Megan Riddle in managing the companies’ sales efforts throughout the Mid-Atlantic.

QMS Media Continues to Deliver Solid Revenue Growth

QMS Media Limited (ASX: QMS) this week announced its preliminary financial results for the six months to December 31, 2018. As previously advised, the Company has resolved to change its financial year end from 30 June to 31 December, to streamline the reporting across all QMS Group entities and to align with industry standards.

#OOH 2018 Full Year Results From ‪@OMA_Australia ‬

The Australian Out of Home industry this week announced full year revenue results including category breakdowns for 2018. This marks the start of a change in how the Outdoor Media Association (OMA) reports OOH revenue, and is due to recent changes in ownership which may trigger compliance issues for the OMA’s ASX-listed members.

The OOH industry saw a total increase of 10.8% on net media revenue in 2018, with growth noted across the following categories:

Category figures quarter four 2018^^:
· Roadside Billboards (over and under 25 square metres) $107.3 million
· Roadside Other (street furniture, bus/tram externals, small format) $79.5 million
· Transport (including airports) $50.1 million
· ^Retail, Lifestyle and Other $40.7 million

· Roadside Other (street furniture, bus/tram externals, small format) $256.9 million
· Transport (including airports) $159.4 million

As previously reported, net media revenue for 2018 increased to $927.2 million, up from $837.1 million for 2017. Quarter four 2018 saw an increase of 9.8% on net media revenue year-on-year, posting $277.5 million, up from $252.8 million for quarter four 2017.

Digital Out of Home revenue accounts for 52.3% of total net media revenue year-to-date, an increase over the recorded 47.3% for the same period last year.

  • Jérôme d’Héré is appointed Director of Mergers & Acquisitions and Development of the Group. He is a graduate of Neoma Business School (Ex-ESC Reims). In 2007, he joined JCDecaux as Project Controller for the Finance Department – France before being appointed Group Internal Auditor in 2009. In January 2012, he was named Deputy Director of Management Control – France in charge of Business Management Control. In 2014, he was promoted to the position of Administrative and Financial Director – Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean and in 2017, Chief Financial Officer – Central America. In September 2018, he joined the Mergers & Acquisitions and Development Department as M&A and Development Manager.

    Based in Plaisir, Jérôme d’Héré will report to David Bourg, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer of the Group and member of the Executive Board of JCDecaux S.A.

  • Caroline Burtin is appointed Deputy Director of Mergers & Acquisitions and Development of the Group. She holds a post-graduate degree in business law and is a member of the Paris Bar. She began her career as a lawyer at BNP Paribas in New York before she joined Linklaters law firm in Paris in 2003, with a role in its mergers and acquisitions department. In 2005, she joined the mergers and acquisitions department of Debevoise & Plimpton in Paris, where she notably worked as general counsel for JCDecaux in the area of acquisitions. She joined JCDecaux’s Legal Department in 2006 where she worked as a lawyer in the International Affairs division before being appointed Head of Legal Affairs for the Middle East in 2008 and General Counsel for the Middle East and Africa in 2011. In 2013, Caroline Burtin became General Counsel for Italy, Portugal, Belgium and Luxembourg, while continuing to fulfil her role as General Counsel for the Middle East and Africa. Since 2016, She was M&A and Development Manager within the Mergers & Acquisitions and Development Department.

    Based in Neuilly, Caroline Burtin reports to Jérôme d’Héré, Director of Mergers & Acquisitions and Development.
