#ISE2019 ‪@ONELAN_Ltd Hall 8-C282

January 22nd, 2019

Andrew Neale

ONELAN has released major updates to its digital signage CMS ahead of #ISE2019. These include; a powerful new shared playlist feature to make managing content in multiple playlists or channels more efficient, a reduction in local storage requirements for System-on-Chip (SoC), and extra security protocols.

Hugh Coghill-Smith, ONELAN Chief Commercial Officer told us “We’re delighted to release these updates ahead of ISE which are part of ONELAN’s global strategy to invest significantly in the ongoing development of our CMS, ensuring it remains at the forefront of digital signage software technology. He continued; “This sophisticated solution makes network and content management even simpler and quicker, while delivering an engaging, dynamic experience for users – all key drivers for our continued investment.”

Ideal for large corporates or Universities with multiple sites or departments, the new shared playlist feature provides network administrators with a single interface to update content across the network in multiple layouts or channels. In addition, wherever the shared playlist is added, users have more flexibility over enabling or disabling playback. Content creation teams can make content available in bulk, and local departments can choose what to include for playback on their own signage, thereby giving greater autonomy.

Andrew Neale

Signagelive are a long time #ISE2019 exhibitor (indeed, being one of the first we remember, in populating the very original Digital Signage Hall – years before it moved and became the Chinese LED Bazaar that it is today). This year, we’ve heard a number of rumours, all from vendors who have been sworn to secrecy, about Signagelive launching some form of collaboration solution involving hardware, proximity awareness and possibly we’d guess, face recognition.

Signagelive CEO Jason Cremins told us “If you are heading to ISE, we would welcome the opportunity to meet with you and show you how Signagelive is being used to deliver exciting and interactive digital applications. Our stand has been designed to showcase the use of our platform to deliver solutions for retail and workplace (internal) communications. We will be releasing more information on our exclusive collaboration in the next weeks or so.”

Transport For London’s Second Annual Advertising Report

January 22nd, 2019

Andrew Neale

Transport for London’s (TfL) second Annual Advertising Report (2017/18) has revealed the growing success of its advertising estate, with more than GBP 150m in revenue generated during the year for investment back into improving the transport network.

TfL certainly needs to generate the cash as the kitty is running low at the moment – not least because any passenger revenue from the Elizabeth Line (aka Crossrail) is now delayed realistically by 12 months.

The report highlights how TfL is continuously improving its estate with the introduction of innovative advertising platforms and illustrates how TfL is collaborating even more creatively with advertisers.

In 2017/2018, more than 16,000 advertisements ran on the TfL network, generating approximately GBP 152m, which is GBP 10m more than the GBP 142m raised in 2016/2017. As part of TfL’s new growth strategy, advertising is one of the key ways that it is making the most of commercial opportunities and building revenue.
