Community Events is the first content app from Screenfeed to incorporate the use of #AI.

In this case, AI is used to improve event descriptions, fix incorrect information as well as moderation of events for appropriateness.

Screenfeed can offer a custom AI Moderator that will select events based on a user’s goals and Community Events is one of the most customizable content options available currently from Screenfeed. There are infinite combinations of backgrounds, colors, and fonts to choose from and feed customization goes beyond design, too. You can optimize Community Events with a choice of animation levels for HTML delivery and the ability to set a fallback message (just in case there is ever a moment of downtime, a message can be written to display until your network is back online).

US #OOH 2023 Ad Revenue Increased 2.1%

US Out of home advertising revenue increased 2.1% in 2023 compared to the previous year, accounting for USD 8.7 billion in total spend, based on figures released this week by the Out of Home Advertising Association of America (OAAA), the leading trade group representing the entire OOH advertising industry.

Digital OOH (DOOH) represented 33% of total OOH spend and grew almost 10% in 2023. While DOOH was a key driver for the year, OOH experienced growth across the Billboard, Transit and Place-Based categories, with OOH Transit making the most significant gains for the year at a 7.3% increase.

In 2023, three of the top ten product industries that grew by double digits included, in order of percentage growth: Public Transportation Hotels & Resorts, Local Services & Amusements, and Schools Camps & Seminars. In fact, Local Services & Amusements represented 27% of total OOH spend and grew by almost 12%.

Tea Shop Rolls Out @nsign_tv To 100 Stores

Tea Shop, the first Spanish chain selling fresh tea in bulk, has chosen nsign.tv’s digital signage platform to digitize its nearly 100 stores in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Brazil and Argentina in order to offer a more attractive, dynamic and personalized shopping experience for its customers.

Tea Shop was founded in 1990 and offers more than 140 varieties of tea in its stores and was looking to improve the customer experience and adapt to emerging technology trends in the retail sector.

Ana María Avilés Pinto, Marketing & Communication Manager at Tea Shop told us “Our needs were focused on optimizing interaction with consumers, providing detailed information about our products in a dynamic and efficient way, as well as highlighting promotions and special events in a more effective way. In addition, we were looking for a solution that would allow a more agile and centralized management of content in all our stores”.

Tea Shop’s choice of nsign.tv software was based on the combination of experience in the market, flexibility in the solutions, integration capacity, technological quality and a good after-sales service, in the words of its Marketing Manager.

In most of the stores, a 55” high brightness screen has been installed vertically as a showcase, and another 22” touch screen inside where customers can consult the digital catalog with all the varieties of teas. All these displays are managed by nsign.tv players.

Tea Shop’s own Marketing department operates the platform autonomously.

NYC Programmatic Transit Advertising Expansion

OUTFRONT Media (NYSE:OUT), one of the largest out of home media (OOH) companies in the U.S., continues to be at the forefront of innovation and digitization in the industry with the expansion of programmatic capabilities in transit advertising. The company is actively expanding its rollout of programmatic in New York City’s MTA system, which will cover nearly all of the MTA’s subway stations – with the potential to reach more than four million daily trips from New Yorkers and tourists – along with commuter rail stations in the surrounding areas.

In 2023, OUTFRONT conducted a successful pilot launch of programmatic capabilities on over 900 Digital and Video Urban Panels (DUPs/VUPs) outside MTA subway entrances and exits. With this rollout, advertisers will also be able to programmatically access thousands of Liveboards inside stations.

These digital signs, in a variety of formats, can be used to reach desirable audiences with brand messaging according to several variables – including time of day, day of the week and location. The additional Liveboards will bring the total of programmatically enabled signs to 3,800 – across 436 stations in all five boroughs (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Staten Island), as well as 30 stations in Long Island and 18 Metro-North Railroad stations.

UK #OOH Revenues Q4 and Year 2023

Outsmart, the trade body for the Out of Home advertising industry has announced that OOH revenue for 2023 saw growth of +9.8% year-on-year with total revenues of GBP 1.3bn, equivalent to 99.6% of the pre-covid market.

The figures, collated by PwC, show that Q4 contributed £396 million towards the annual total, up +14.9% from Q4 2022 and +5.4% more than pre-covid Q4 of 2019.

Digital Out of Home had another year of significant growth with an increase of +12.4% and accounted for 65% of OOH revenue in 2023. Classic OOH revenues also increased, at a rate of +5.3% compared to the previous year.

Sleep.8 Present Bedtime Stories w/ @LimitedSpaceOOH

Sleep.8 and Limited Space have partnered with Children’s Laureate Joseph Coelho and the World Literacy Foundation to launch ‘Bedtime Stories’ in UK Shopping Malls.

Author, poet and Waterstones Children’s Laureate Joseph Coelho will host the inaugural Bedtime Story video series, which involves prominent public figures reading storybooks to children to inspire a love of the written word from an early age. Broadcast in UK shopping malls and online, and reaching 10 million households in the first week, the series aims to raise awareness around children’s literacy.

Andrew Kay, CEO of World Literacy Foundation, said “A bedtime reading routine with your child for just 20 minutes per day will change the trajectory of their life. They will be reading at grade level by Year 3 and 3 times more likely to attend university.”
