Clear Channel Communications Inc.’s outdoor and radio divisions are joining together with the American Red Cross Mid-South Tennessee Region and the Mid-South Food Bank to host a special relief event to assist victims of the devastating Mississippi River flood and to celebrate the resilience of area residents in the face of this unprecedented crisis.
A keynote fundraising event will be held on June 1 at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Bartlett, Tennessee. Various broadcast media, Clear Channel Outdoor, The Red Cross and The Mid South Food Bank will be on hand to collect non-perishable food items and monetary donations. Monetary donations can also be made through 1-800-RED-CROSS or online
Clear Channel’s radio stations and digital billboards in the region are broadcasting coverage of the latest flood activity, as well as relief locations where residents can find help.
“Rising floodwaters have taken a brutal toll on the Mid-South, Memphians, and all residents in the region need our help and support,” says Don Nolan, president-general manager, Clear Channel Outdoor Memphis.
